Ebony's MA celebration and Basque dinner

My roommate Ebony found out this past week that she got into the master's program at Mcgill that she wanted in Developing Nations in Political Science. It's a 1 in 125 chance as they only accept 4 people a year and get about 500 applicants.
We went out for drinks on Friday to celebrate.

The next night, we went to a Basque dinner festival. One of Ebony's English students is the president of the young peoples Basque Association of Montreal. It was a dinner event and the food sounded really good. I figured since I missed the Swiss Christmas club party last year I could do with a little dinner celebration and singing. We knew none of the songs and the singing was dominated by really loud singing of what we dubbed the "Basque JT" a little stubby guy who was constantly singing. The food ended up being really mediocre but the company was great. We sat at the hot table! It was mostly french basque boys. We had a great time as girls were a minority there!

most boring field trip ever...

...but i got some neat photos out of it.
We had a class field trip to a building downtown to learn about indoor air quality. I was tired and had a headache that day and it just went on and on...
the highlight of the field trip was getting to go to the roof top (34 floors up) and taking pictures of McGill campus and downtown.
